NORTHCOTE CLUB
The* eighth annual meeting -of th* , Northcote Cricket Club was held in the Papanui Memorial Hall recently. Mr~ W* • G. Chapman (president) presided over • good attendance.
As the financial position was not. to good as it.'was a.year ago, it was decided to.-raise the subscription' and to discontinue social evenings, during the winter months, which did • not -prove successful last season. - --
The club’s most successful team in the Christchurch Suburban -Cricket Association’s competitions was the junlor-E team, which finished second. K.‘ Grimwood, -Of the third grade C team, ' played an outstanding game in the; match last seasonagainst . Addington Timber Company, when he scored 111 not out. t
