THE GOVERNOR GENERAL
INSPECTION OF FORT DORSET AND TRENTHAM CAMP U'B&SS ASSOCIATION TKI.KURAU.) WELLINGTON, September 13. The Governor-General (Lord Galway) paid an official visit to Fort Dorset, accompanied by a military aide-de-camp. He was received by Major-General J. E. Duigan, Officer Commanding the New Zealand Forces, Colonel Standish, Officer Commanding the Central Military Command, Major Park, Commandant of the fort, and Captain Maxwell, N.Z.S.C. He inspected the men, equipment, and the barracks, and was apparently well pleased. He congratulated the commandant on the smartness of the parade. After leaving Fort Dorset, the GovernorGeneral went to Trentham camp, where, after lunch, he inspected a parade of approximately 250 officers and men of the Royal New Zealand Air Force and the special reserve of the territorial force at present undergoing training there.
