BAZAAR HELD AT AKAROA
SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL FUNCTION
CHURCH FUNDS TO BENEFIT
St. Peter’s Church members, Akaroa. held a successful annual bazaar at the Parish Hall. The Mayor (Mr F. R. E. Davis) opened the bazaar. More than £IOO was raised for the church funds..
The stallholders were as follows: — Work stall, Mrs B. W. Henning and Mrs M. F. Richardson (conveners), Miss G. Newton, Mesdames J. D. Smith, E. M. May, H. Hamilton, G. A. Hammond. T. Jorddn, S. G. Naismith, Rex Davis, A. Davis, A. G. Shuttleworth, P. G. Riches, F. C. Newton, and A. R. Haylock; book stall, Miss S. Mahon (convener), Mesdames C. Innes, I. Pilkington, Misse? D. Leete and E. Keegan; Eastern bays stall, Mrs W. A. Newton (convener), Mesdames J. Ferguson, A. F. Williamson, C. H. Moore, A. A. Narbey, H. J. and W. H; Moore. Miss A. Hally; United bays stall, Mrs H. O. G. Haylock (convener), Mrs James Mould, and Miss Marjory Haylock; bran tub, Mrs A. J. Petrie. Miss Noel Henning, Miss N. Bergen, and the girls of the Friendly Society; produce stall, Mrs T. Masefield (convener), Mesdames W. H. Taylor, E. Glynan, H. Woodill, and G. M. Kearney; sweets stall. Misses Averil Mclntosh, P. Richardson, E. Wright,. and N. Kearney: flower stall. Mrs W. Jacobson, Mrs J. E. Armstrong, Mrs R. D. Waller, Misses E. Opie and Mcßride, and Mr Jacobson: refreshment stall, Mrs F. G. Armstrong (convener). Mrs A. V. Le Licvre. Misses P. Mcßfide, O. Kingston. B. Jacobson, P. Ferris, and L. Vangioni. A successful social, was held in the evening, when games, dancing, and musical items were held.
