VOI'MI WOMEN KESCI ED '.PRESS ASSOCIATION i'ELEOEAM.) WESTPORT, March 4. Whilst bathing yesterday at Carter's Beach two young women had a narrow escape from drowning. Noticing that the bathers were in difficulties Messrs Sidney Robertson (Westport) and Joseph Mason (Invercargill) promptly went to the rescue and brought the women to safety. The sea was very rough and the rescue, was watched by large crowds on the beach.
