AIR CRAFTSMAN SHAW LEAVES SERVICE
♦ RETIREMENT IN DORSETSHIRE (Received March 3, 6.35 p.m.) LONDON, March 2. Lawrence of Arabia is no longer Air-Craftsman Shaw. Ht, has left the Air Force and retired to his Dorsetshire cottage. He had been stationed at Bridlington since November, working on the Air Force bombing targets. He quitted Bridlington by bicycle, saying to his landladv: "I have finished with the Air Force for good."
