CONVERSATION WITH M. LAVAL

♦ SIR JOHN SIMON'S PARIS VISIT RUGBY, March 1. Sir John Simon's visit to Paris gave an opportunity for conversation with M. Pierre Laval, the French Foreign Minister. It is believed that the conversation was of a general nature, with particular reference to the manner in which the European situation has developed since the Anglo-French conversations in London on February 3. The forthcoming visit of Sir John Simon to Berlin was also touched upon. Sir John Simon arrived at Croydon by air after his visit to Paris.
