REPRIEVE GRANTED

BERLIN. February 29. Hen - Hitler reprieved Nikolaus Janssen, sentenced to death for the consecutive murders of his three children, between 1928 and 1932. The sentence was commuted to life imprisonment, on the ground that unemployment impoverished Janssen, who killed his children because of the impossibility of supporting them. Janssen's wife was sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment.
