NORTH BEACH

PERSONAL Mr and Mrs Henry Warden (Jubilee avenue), who have been visiting their daughter, Mrs W. B. Clark (Ashburton), have returned home. Mr and Mrs W. Kennedy (Osborne terrace) have returned from a holiday visit to Milford. Miss G. Boyle and Mr S. Campbell (Prebbleton) are visiting North Beach and are staying at Bowhill road. Social Evening The "Y" Branch of the North Brighton Women's Christian Temperance Union held a "Back to Childhood" party in the Baptist Schoolroom. About 20 attended, including members of the Adult Union. All were dressed childhood fashion, and a most enjoyable evening was spent in games, musical items, and competitions. Harvest Festival Special Harvest Festival services will be held in the North Beach Baptist Church to-morrow. The services will be conducted by the Rev. E. W. Grigg and Mr Templeton. Surf Club Dance A twilight dance organised in aid of the Surf Club funds will be held in the North Beach Hall this evening.

The hall has been specially decorated, and diffused lighting installed. The music will be played by Percy Butler's Serenaders.
