SOLDIERS KILLED IN AVALANCHE

♦- EFFORT TO RE-CUE SICK COMRADE LONDON, February 28. A Grenoble message says that five soldiers who were making an effort to reach a blockhouse in a Mont Cenis pass at a height of 8274 feet, in order to bring down a sick comrade, were overwhelmed by an avalanche. A relict: party was also swept. away, and two killed. Rescuers are attempting to dig out the remainder.
