CAPTAIN OF HOOD NOT GUILTY
FINDING OF THIRD COURT MARTIAL LONDON. February 28. At the third of the series of courtsmartial after the collision between the battle-cruisers Hood and Renown off the coast of Spain, Captain F. T. B. Tower, 0.8. E., chief of staff to Rear-Admiral S. R. Bailey and flag-captain of the Hood, was found not guilty. The prosecutor alleged that Captain Tower was to bjame because when he saw the Renown approaching he did not act in sufficient time to avert the collision.
