THE DU BOIS SISTERS
VERDICT AT INQUEST LONDON, February 25. At the inquest into the deaths of Jane and Elizabeth du Bois, aged 20 and 23, who were killed last Thursday by falling from an aeroplane, the jury returned a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind. The father of the girls, Mr Coert du Bois, United States Consul-Gen-era] in Naples, said that Jane had a dominating personality, and her rister frequently gave way to her. Jane was very fond of Flying Officer John Charles Forbes. The coroner read letters found in the aeroplane, in which the sisters wrote alternate paragraphs. The coroner said the girls were inseparably devoted to one another. ' r he younger was infatuated with Flying Officer Forbes, and undoubtedly Elizabeth agreed with her strop ninded sister to jump from the aurr^.ne.
