A blizzard raging in the Gulf of Finland interrupted the air search for 700 fishermen and 100 horses marooned on an icefield and believed to bo drifting towards the Estonian coast. The ice-breaker Tarno has been sent to join in the search, but the blizzard has greatly reduced the prospect of j rescue. The storm is so severe that steamers are unable to attempt the passage of the gulf, and, consequently, Finland is practically isolated from the south.
