LODGE MEETINGS.

PIONEER. A.D. Bro. Hyde presided over the quarterly meeting of the Pioneer Lodge, U.A.O.D. Correspondence was received from Bfo. Francis Askew, Grand Secretary, England, extending a hearty welcome ; to Secretary P.G.P. Bro. \V. J W. Neate, who ii shortly to visit England. » After the usual business a smoke social was tendered to P.G.P. Bro. Neate. P.G P. Bro. H. E. Smith, in proposing his health, referred to the good work Bro. Xeate had done during the twelvo years he had been secretary, and on behalf of the lodge wished him a pleasant holiday and a safe return. Items were given by Messrs Davis, Lamb, Foster, Cumminsrs, Christie, Donaldson, and Stephens, Mr T. W. Lawrence being tho pianist.
