+— —' AN INTERESTING POINT(f RKSH ASSOCIATION ELTHAM, March S, In a case of considerable interest, heard in the Magistrate's Court to-day, Mr E. Tate, S.M., held that , the acquittal of the, accused Antonio Novak, in the Supreme Court, on a„ charge of bookmaking, did not necessarily involve his acquittal on charges arising out of the elements on which book' making might consist, such as totalizator betting, betting on odds, and double charts. ,He intimated that at the next sitting he would hear counsel's defence before the police proceeded with further charges arising out Of -the same set of circumstances as that of the bookmaking charge.
