One of the most Venerated treasures of the Eussian Church, the ikon, or 6acred picture, of "Our Ladyof the Sign," figured in a special service at the Eussian Church of St. Philip, Buckingham Palace Eoad, London, lately. It is a painting of the Virgin and Child on wood, surrounded by pearls, gold, and precious stones, and is said to have, been found beside a'brook "where the Virgin Mary herself made an appearance. The late Czarina built a church to shelter it." Prince Vladimir Galitzine stated that since the Eussjan revolution the ikon had been kept in Jugoslavia, but every year it is taken bjr a bishop to exiled Eussians in all the capitals of Europe. •
