TROUBLE IN THE WAIKATO. PREFERENCE TO NON UNIONISTS (FAXSB ÜBOCiiXtOV CSLZdaAIf.) HAMILTON, February 22. , Preferential employment, to several non-unionists in the Glen Afton collieries has led to a cessation of work in that mine and the adjoining McDonald mines. The trouble started sovetal days ago, ; and a conference which waS held on Friday between the coal mlnei's' representatives and the directorates of Glen Afton and' the McDonald collieries.; proved Abortive. , At a mass meeting of the Glen Aftofi Miners' Union to-day it was decided not to resume work, It is feared that the trouble may spread to other coal mine!.
