WOMEN'S. MID-WEEK COMPETITION. Tho second round of the women's interclub mid-week competition was played yesterday afternoon at Wilding Park. Results were us follows: — SECTION I. Fendalton v. Avonside. (Kendalton names first.) Singles—-Jliss M. Wake beat Miss W. Angas, 9-3; Miss E. Xtudlcin beat Mrs Smytlie, .93!; Miss M. Shcrris beat Mrs Gilbert, S>-2;-Miss M. Munns lost to . Mrs Hodgkinson, 8-9. Doubles—Misses M. Wake and M. Sherris beat Miss Angas and Mrs Smythe, 6-1,6-3; Misses lludkin and M. Munns beat Mrs Gilbert and Mrs Hodgkinson, 0-0, 6-2.
