AUCKLAND UNION'S ATTITUDE. [THE PRESS Special Service.! AUCKLAND, December 9. The Auckland branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union has taken a definite stand against jwlitical action by th« Union other than by independent paities, but favours the formation of branches of the Country Party throughout the Dominion. Mr A. E. Robinson, secretary of the Auckland Provincial Executive of the Farmers' Union, said to-day that the branch's attitude was defined in a resolution telegraphed to Mr W. J. Poison, M.P., Dominion president of the Union. The resolution also stated that the executive considered no use ful purpose would be served by rcquir ing candidates to give the p'edges proposed by the farmers' Union last month, and that the idea had already been tried and had failed.
