THE SALAMAN CASE.
AN ELTHAM REQUEST. '.FRKSS ASSOCIATION TZLEQBAM.) ELTHAM, December 9. At a meeting of over fifty residents last niglit, the Mayor (Mr Bridger) | presiding, the following motion was j passed: "This meeting, in the interests! of suffering humanity, and the sanctity of human life, asks that Salaman j bt> immediately released." The motion was carried unanimously and will L>e forwarded to the Minister for .lustice. CABINET TO DECIDE. (press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, December 9. The Minister for Justice (the Hon. J. G. Cobbe) stated to-day that. the case of Salaman was receiving his attention and the matter would go before Cabinet for final decision.
