PIGEON FLYING.

TWO RACES HELD. The Christchurch Premier Pigeon Club held races from Woodville end Stewart Island during the past week-end. Seventy-three-birds, representing thirteen owners, were liberated at Woodville on Saturday, but through, adverse weather 1 conditions slow times were registered. The winning bird, owned by A. Pegley, flew the 283 miles 1091 yards airline in llhrs 6min 46sec. The birds liberated at Half Moon Bay on Sunday also encountered unfavourable weather, and the race was rather disastrous, only six members getting their birds through. The winning bird, owned by C.
