SALVATION ARMY. NEW ORGANISATION PROPOSALS (UNITED MESS ASSOCIATION —BY ELECTRIO teleghaph—copyright.) LONDON, December 3. The text lias been issued of a Bill providing for the future organisation of the Salvation Army. It provides for tlu formation of a company to act as a trustee for the Army's property throughout the world; fixing tho age limit for Generals, removing tho General's right to nominate his successor, and the formation of an Arbitration Council to deal with disputes between the General and leading officers. Tho Bill is not likely to be discussed before the New Year.
distressed settlers in VICTORIA. LONDON, December 3. Replying to Major Glyn in the House of Commons, Mr J. H. Thomas (Secretary for Dominion Affairs) stated that Mr J. 11. Scullin (Prime Minister of Australia) had promised to expedite the Commission's investigation into distressed settlers in Victoria. Mr Thomas was willing to meet the delegation of five ut present in London if it would serve any useful purpose.
