CHRISTCHURCII MAN LOSES £7O. (UKITED PRE3S ASSOCIATION —BY ELECTHIC TELEGRAPH—COPIHIGHT.) (Received December 4th, 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 4. When tho steamer Ballarat arrived to-day, detectives went aboard to investigate robberies of msney and jewels valued at £IOO, while the vessel was at Colombo. One of tho victims is Major Greenstreet, of Christehu,rch, New Zealand, whose loss amounts to £7O.
The detectives' quest was unsuccessful.
