SUMNER METHODIST CHURCH.
DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES. The annual tea meeting and social in. connexion with the Sunday School anniversary of St. Paul's Methodist Church, Sumner, was held on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance. After the tea meeting a bright programnae of music was given by the scholars. The Rev. H. Fallows presided. At the request of the Sunday School superintendent (Mr W. J. Duff), Miss Greaves presented the Sunday School awards as follows: Intermediate Girls—Lorna Klingenstein 1, Olive Austin 2, Yvonne Hall, Chrissie Tulloch, Peggy Pawe, Thelma Parsons, Elsa Duff, Phoebe Baxter, and Dallas Heniey. Intermediate Boys—Arthur Wright 1, Tom Cook 2, Charlie Ford, Derek Hall, Leslie Chapman, Jack Austin, Ted Turland, and Gordon Dunlop. Junior Girls —Miriam Ford 1, Marian Duff 2, Lily Ford, Daphne Odell, Yvonne Webb, Joan Chitty, and Irene Turland. Junior Boys—Willie Wright 1, Jim Cook 2, Billy Henley, Mae Fee, Geoffrey Fee, lan Duns, and Wray Fee. Primer Boys—John Kerr 1, Lindsay Kerr, Howard Parson, Frank Mugford, Peter Cook, Harold Wright, Wesley Woolcock, Keith Duns.
Primer Girls—Rena Tombs, Norma Fee, Valmai Odell, Hazel Ford, Dorothy Parsons, Averill "Woolcock, Esme Wright, June Turland.
