INITIATION CONTEST. Considerable iiitorest lias been taken by Ohristchurch Rechabites in tho competition for the Baßcand Cup, awarded to tho tent which during the past half-year secured the highest number of points in connexion with the initiation competition. The Philipson and Ark of Refuge Tents had been placed equal for first place, and on Monday night they met on neutral ground at n meeting of the Pride of Ohristchurch Tent for further judging. The personnel of the competing teams was. Philipson: Past-Chief Ruler Sister E. Judkins, Chief Ruler Sister G. Spicer, DeputyRuler Bro. D. Newman, Levite Bro. J. Jackson, Guardian Sister G. Coton, Lovito Bro. J. F. Martin, R.S.C.R. Sister Ji. Dell, L.S.D.R. Bro. J. Pa-terson. Ark of Refuge: Past-Chief Ruler Bro. A. Rees Chief Ruler Sister Rees, Deputy-Ruler Bro. I-. E. Waldron, Levito Bro. A. T. Pope, Guardian Sister A. Hollis, R.b.C.R. Bro. H. on behalf of tho visitors, "P PC R. Bro. A. D. Hassall congratulated the senior tent on the splendid attendance and the keen interest taken in the Rechabite movement in the City. Referring to the manner in which the contending teams had carried out the ceremony, he said the effort was one of which they were all proud. The judges were P.C.R. Bro. U. P. Smith -ud D P.C.R. Sister G.
