SCHOOL CONCERT AT CASHMERE

In tho Masonic Hall on Friday night and Saturday nigbt tho pupils of the Cashmero School provided an entertainmont in aid of tho prize and picnic fund. The concerts were well patronised on both occasions. The programme was as follows:—Piano duet, Lucie and Nancie Brown; songs and dances by the infants, violin solo by Philip Lawrence, vocal solos by Barbara Buchanan and Shirley Buchanan, dances by Brownie Freeman Jocelyn Parton, and Barbara Buchanan! A cantata entitled "The Kose of Joy," in which tho chief characters were portrayed by Irene Wright, Margaret Baker, Valerie Peppier, Natalie Gilchrißt, Gwendeth Menzies, Colin Christiansen, Colin Cooper, and Bobbie Baker. Standard I. pupils sang an Arcadian lullaby, and those in Standards V. and VI. solos and choruses in a scene entitled "Fisher Folk." A dialogue from "Uncle Tom's Cabin" between Alison Menzies, Pat Dougal, and Keith McLeod completed an excellent programme.
