CHRISTCHURCH HARMONIC SOCIETY.
CONCERT IN CIVIC THEATRE. Some delightful new part-songs will be included in the programme to bo given at the Harmonic Society's concert next Thursday and Saturday. Cyril Jenkins's "Three Choral Pictures" ia a beautiful and dramatic piece of music, calling for the highest artistry in interpretation. Elgar's "Spanish Serenade" is another lovely work, which, together with such part-songs as "Moonlight," "All in a Garden Fair," and the Faust Fantasia, which includes "Light as Air," the Jewel Song, Romance, and "Even Bravest Heart'," finishing with the rousing "Soldiers' Chorus" will go to make a programme to satisfy any music-lover. In addition to the choral work, Miss Joan Boniface —vfus year's go?d medallist—will play a pianoforte solo. Miss Boniface is a little girl, just thirteen years old, but plays very well indeed, and subscribers will welcome the opportunity to hear her. Tho booking of Rents is now proceeding at Clias.
