HANNING OF SHIPS.
+ DISPUTE TEMPORARILY SETTLED. <,?RESB ASSOCIATION" TELZGHA2J.) WELLINGTOX, November 24. The dispute between the owners and Seamen's Union, which has held up the small coastal vessels Kapiti and Ilavera since their conversion into motorships, has been settled, temporarily at least. The Kapiti to-day signed on a crew, including a greaser whose incluSEOn tho crew has been the cause of the dispute, and is to leave Wellington to morrow for Wanganui. The Hawera, the other vessel involved, has been lying at Auckland since her conversion,' I s leave there on Wednesday" for Wellington, to resume her running in the Wellington-I'atea trade. J ° Neither the representatives of the shipowners nor those of the Sea men-'s Union v.ould make any statement as to the basis of the settlement. It was stated, however, that the vessels were to' be manned for a month with the crews by the Seamen's Union. This means that they will run-for a month carrying greasers who have been the cause of the hold-up.
