The barometer is rising slowly, and registered 29.55 last evening. Wolli»?£o?i —The morning broke fine yesterday after Sunday evening's southerly storm, and the sun shone brichtly ail day. Thf wind vvas from the south. Dunedin—The continues unsettled. There uas slight improvement in tho conditions on Sunday -night, but there wore frequent showers yesterday, -with brief periods of Min*>hine. The wind wan fresh from the .south-west. The maximum temperature was 60 degrees. The barameter is still low, but fairly steady, at 29.4"0 in. Forecast. f/nnernl Situation—The recent depression is now to the east of New Zealand, where barometers aro BtilL low. A moderate anticyclone covers the Tasman Sea, tho centre being in the north, while a new depression is centred in Bass Strait.
