RADIO ON BRITISH TRAINS.
PASSENGERS MAY LISTEN-IN. (USUTEJI PRESS ASSOCIATION —BY ELECTKIC TELEGRAPH —COPTIUGHT.) LONDON, November 20. At the cost of Is passengers by the London and North-Eastern Railway Between King's Cross and Leeds will henceforward be able to while away the time listening to broadcast wireless programmes. A head-phone is attached to every seat in both classes of carriages. A brief trial run to-day demonstrated the advance of wireless aboard train?) since the experiments began in 1924. Programmes from London and Pans were heard very clearly, except in the tuniu'ls. but a slight crackling, duo probably to the electric signals, has not yet been elifciinated. McMichael, Ltd.. carried out the installation, which will later extended to other L.N.E.R. trains.
