Br 115 points to 11*, the Ellesmere Bowling Association's team of six rinks, composed of two rinka each from the Leeston, Dunsandel, and Southbridge Clubs, defeated the Christchurch representatives on the Leeston green on Saturday. Only five of the six Christchurch rinks selected arrived, and the sixth was made up of Ellesmere players. The weather conditions wero perfect, and the green was in splendid order. Totals—Christchurch 114, Ellesmere 115. CHRISTCHURCH V. SOUTH CANTERBURY. The annua! inter-centro bowling match for the Steans Cup was played in Tiniaru on Saturday in ideal weather. The Christchurch players were met on their arrival by representatives of the Timaru Centre and entertained at luncheon. They were afterwards conveyed to the Timaru Club's green, where the game was played. The green was in perfect condition, and very fast. Mr B, Manning, the president of tho S.C. Centre, welcomed the visitors. The game was most interesting from the commencement, and resulted in a win for tho visiting team by 20 points.
