PIGEON FLYING.
RACE FROM TE KUITI. The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club conducted a race from To Kuiti on November 261 hj, a distanco of 405 miles air line. The birds wcro liberated by the stationmaster at 12 noon on Saturday, and arrived_ home the following morning. The winning bird, owned by Mr R. Moore, flow the- distance in l*.nrs 25min 20sec, after deducting the hours of darkness. The following is tho result: — _ K. Moore's Qucenic, 955 yards per minute; G. Robertson's No. 184, 9p2;H. Higgs's Cinema Star, 901; H. Rule's Ordeal, 897; A. Buckley's Gurnay Lad 896; P. Chambers's No. 875, 875; Dr. McKillop's Moonlight, 871;^ A. Jones s No. 147 856; S. Mallard's Red Feather, 843; P. Kin'gsford's No. 17, 805; 0. Manspn"s No. 174, 722; A. Pcgley's No. 804, 590; A. Dore's N0.'839, 525. Winners of Eastern Section; G. Robertson, A. Higgs, A. Buckley. Winners of Western Section: R.
