THEATRE ROYAL.
"CRADLE SNATCHERS." "The Cradle Snatchers," a comedy dealing with sophisticated women's innocent flirting with unsophisticated young men whom they have employed to bring three neglectful husbands to their senses will be presented at the Theatre Royal next Thursday by a specially chosen J. C. Williamson Company, which has just concluded a very successful season in Australia. Ethel Drake, played by Bertha Belmore, the weightiest and least amorous of the three neglected wives, sums up the plot of the farce in one sentence "If my husband has hie flapper I'm going to have my cake-eater." And. thus. it is that three elderly bnt lively* females provide the fun by adopting somewhat original methods of getting back at their careless spouses. Miss Olive Sloane, the principal snatcher, has been playing in "The Padre" in London, and Bhe is as well known in New York as she is in the West End of London. Her career has been a, very distinguished one, and in the J. C. Williamson farce-comedy she has one of the finest of roles. Miss Bertha Belmore (as Mrs Drake, Cradle Snatcher No. 2)' is also said to be an accomplished actress, and in the comedy she has been highly praised for her excellent work. Miss Jessamine Newcombe, as the third lady, completes a trio of artists who make the most and the very best of their parts. Herbert Belmore, Maury Tuckerman, John Halloran, Fred Conyngham, Sidney Stirling, and Arthur Cornell portray prominent male parts. The .box plans wiil be opened at The Bristol on Monday.
