MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED.

COLLISION WITH CAR. A serious motor accident occurred at 5.40 p.m. yesterday on the North parade, when a motor-cyclist, cam© into collision with a motor-car, driven by Mr Cyril Whale, of Christchurch, The cyclist was Frederick George Stackhouse, aged 21 years, of New Brighton. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital last night, and the authorities reported that he was in a serious condition, being semi-conscious. He was suffering from abrasions to the head, and it is believed that his skull is fractured. He also has several les, injuries. Mr Whale stated last night that he had been proceeding at about 15 miles an hour along the North parade, when he saw a motor-c v clist approaching. He had practically stopped his' car when the accident happened. The cyclist had crashed into the side of the bonnet, and had shot over the handlebars, striking his head on the car. The motorcycle was badly damaged, while the bumper-bar on the car was smashed, the' lamo torn off, and the radiator smashed in.
