FOOL-PROOF 'PLANE.

AN AMERICAN VENTURE. i ■ I FREE TUITION IN FLYING. (SX CASLB— PRISS iSSOCUTIOX—COPTEIOHT.) (iOBTBiLIW AN* S.t- CASH ASSOCIATION.) (Received November 21st, 9.20 p.m.) NEW YORK, November 20. Clarence Chamberlain announces plans for the manufacture of a foolproof aeroplane of his own design that will be so simple to operate that even a child will be able to manoeuvre it with absolute safety. The aeroplane will be able to land or take off within a space of one hundred feet, and will sell at between 1200 and 1500 dollars. It will be of the monoplane type, carrying two passengers, and will have a wing spread thirty feet, and weigh 500 pounds. It will be equipped with a five-cylinder motor of 75 horse-power. A free course in flying will be given with each aeroplane. GILES'S PROSPECTS. (Received November 21st, 7.40 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, November 20. Captain Giles's flight will probably be postponed for several days because heavy rains are making the runway too soft for a take-off. Field officials say that it will take at least three» or four days, even if no rain falls, before the heavily loaded aeroplane will be able to take off. HINKLER AND M'INTOSH. (Received November 21st, 7.40 p.m.) LONDON, November 21. A message from Lemberg states that 1 Hinkler and Mcintosh motored to the scene of their crash in order to photo- ■ graph the damage to the aeroplane, 1 which was insured in England. The • company requires evidence of the dami age. The actual repairs will not take t long, but spare parts must be obtained from England.
