PANAMA AIR BASES.

1 VETO BY U.S.A. (bt cable—phbs3 aßßooatiox--{austhauam and k.z. cablb association.) WASHINGTON, November 19. It is understood that the United States will resist attempts by foreign commercial aviation services to establish bases in the Panama Canal Zone and in Panama itself, and will reject the request of the Columbian Aero Maritime Company for such a privilege. This company is financed by German and Columbian capital. Panama dispatches state that Panama people desire the base and point out that the American attitude is one of objection only, while apparently no efforts are being made by American interests to establish a commercial air service there.
