NAVY'S MEAT.
DOMINIONS' SHARE. (bt cable—press association— coptrioht.l (australia* ahd jt.s. axd sox cash.) (Received November 18th, 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 17. In the House of Commons, LieutColonel Headlam informed a questioner that out of the meat supplied to the Navy in 192J3, Britain supplied 1 per cent, and the Dominions 83 per cent., foreign countries contributing the balance. Part of the foreign meat was bought at a time when Dominion supplies were not obtainable. It was estimated that the purchase of home meat exclusively would cost an additional £IO,OOO » month.
