TRIAL RUGBY MATCHES. ASSOCIATION TELSGSAM.) WELLINGTON, November 16. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met tonight. A letter from the English Rugby Union, in reply to an invitation by New Zealand for a team to , visit tbe Dominion in 1930, stated that the request had been forwarded to the International Board with a strong recommendation for favourable consideration, and also a suggestion to include matches in New South Wales during the tour. The net profit on the trial matches, including the North v. South match, •was £1730.
