LAND TAX REMISSION.
COMMITTEE'S REPORT ON PETITION. [THE PBBfIS Special tefioe,] WELLINGTON, November 15. In regard to the petition of A- Morrison, of Ashburton, for a remission of land tax, the Petitions Committee reported to-day that as the action taken by the Land and Income Tax Depart* raent had already given temporary relief to petitioner, the Committee had no recommendation to make with regard to future demands for the remission of land tax.
