ARMISTICE SERVICE. ; There was a very large congregation j in the Presbyterian Church on Sunday ; morning, when a special service comI memorating Armistice Day was \\c\d. : Hymns suitable to the occasion were j'sung, and the Rev. H. K. Kell dealt ! with the horrors of war. i Tug-of-War. A meeting of the Tug-of-War Club was heid on Friday evening. Mr Vt. Tozer presiding over a good attendance. The matter of being represented at the Geraldine tournament was discussed, and it was ultimately agreed to send three teams of men and one of ladies. Several members intimated that they would supply cars free of charge. PersonalMiss Brown returned to Temuka on Saturday. Mr and Mrs T. Wilson, accompanied by their son, Mr Keith Wilson, Winchester, who have been spending a short holiday in Christchurch, returned home by motor on Sunday. Mr Geo. Sollett spent the week-end in Temuka, and returned to Christchurch yesterday. Amongst those who returned from Christchurch during the week-end are; Mr and Mrs G. B. Cartwright and party; Mr and Mrs W. F. Evans; Mr and Mrs K. H. Taylor: Mr and Mrs W. Hally, and Mrs and Miss Beri; Mr R. Gibb, and Mr and Mrs F. Smith, Sea down. Mrs V. O'Connor. King street, left Temuka yesterday for a few days'holiday in Dunedin. Included among the guests at the Royal Hotel, Temuka, were: Mr W. Reynolds (Kurow), Mr D. Lane, Mr T. Hoskin (Christchurch), Mr Meredith, Mrs Simpson (Wellington), Mrs McLeod (Wellington), Mr Morrin (Roxburgh), Mr P. A. Acheson (Auckland), Miss Simpson (Wellington), Mr T. Young (Wellington), Mr T.' Jones (Christcliurch), Miss Williams (Christchurch), Mrs Phillips (Christchurch), Mrs Bishop (Dunedin). Guests staying at the Crown Hotel, Temuka, included: Mr and Mrs Snowball, Messrs Barnes (Oaniaru), Martin (Oamaru), McNeil (Dunedin), Dianuid, Paul, Philpott, Carlyle, West, Norrie, Smith, G. Newton, and Dr. Newton. Mr and Mrs W. Eowe, and Mr and Airs H. Papps, Christchurch, who have been on a motor holiday to Peel Forest, arrived in Temuka on Saturday morning, and are the guests of Mr and Mrs T. C Simes.
