METHVEN
A nre broke out at about 3 a.m. on Friday in the residence of Mr Jas. Robinson, Methven. The fire had a good hold when discovered, but the fire brigade was soon on the scene and quickly had the fire under control. Mr Robinson was alone in the house, his family being away on holiday, and he managed to escape in his night attire. Insurances on the building were £3OO, and on the furniture £IOO. but this will not cover the loss sustained.
