ANAMA.
The monthly meeting of the Anama School Committee was held on Wednesday evening, those present being; Mrs J. Brown, Messrs J. Mclvor (chairman), and P. G. Greenslade. The inspector's annual report was received, and was favourably commented upon. It was decided to deposit the monies, received from the euchre tournaments as a fund for the purchase of a new piano. Minor repairs and improvements to the buildings and grounds were authorised. Settlers in the vicinity of the railwav hope to be shortly connected with Lake Coleridge power supply, as the Power Board's staff are at present erecting poles and connecting up the residences.
Weather condition's have been unseasonable of late, and the dull skies and chilly atmosphere leave much to be desired. Conditions became brighter at the week-end, and prospects are more hopeful for a settled spell.
