COUNCIL SUPPLIES.
TENDERS TO BE CALLED. In accordance with uotico given, Cr. E. H. Andrews moved the following resolution at the City Council meeting last evening: "That public tenders be called (not mere quotations obtained) for all City Council requirements above the value of £20." Cr. Andrews said it seemed to him that all difficulties would_ be got over in this connexion by calling for tenders. He wanted the system to be applied in respect of all jobs, including printing, which had been discussed previously. , The motion was seconded t>} A - W. Be&vefl aod carried'
