When tho police arrived they considered that defendant. was not in a fit state to drive a car. I Mr Maliey said Wakefield had been I doing business for his firm, and had I had several drinks with clients, taking more liquor than was good for him He had been driving home for lunch when the accident occurred. It was a regrettable incident, and defehdant felt it very deeply. He was a married man with ten children.
