"Modern masculilne fashions are Socialistic and anti-Fascist, and are not Italian because they arc dictated from London and New York. We must find a dress more suited to the Fascist era." Thus reads the Young Fascist manifesto urging that the Fascist mode gradually be extended throughout Europe. It proposes the croatioa of different types of dress for various categories of citizens, aucb as intellectuals, capitalists, and ivr rkmen. It expresses the opinion that male costume should be more virile, warlike, and adaptable for carrying arms openly, for example, an automatic or sword at the waist.
