SPREYDON DOMAIN.
ERECTION OF PAVILION. "When Spreydon Domain was taken over by the City," reported the Reserves Committee to the City Council last "evening, "the sum of £2OO was owing to Mr J. D. Hall by the old Domain Board. Mr Hall stated that, provided the sum was spent on the erection of a pavilion or other permanent improvement to the Domain, he would not require it to be repaid to him. Representatives of the sports bodies using the Domain have on several occasions waited upon the Committee and asked that the erection of the pavilion ,be proceeded with, ami that the Council subsidise the amount owing to Mr Hall by a further £2OO. Plans have been presented of a pavilion costing £SOO, towards which the Spreydon Bowling and Tennis Clubs have offered to subscribe the sum of £IOO. The plans have been approved by the City Engineer's department, subject to certain minor alterations. Provision has been made On the current year's estimates for the expenditure of the amount • owing to Mr Hall, and the Committee recommends that, subject to the bowling and tennis clubs subscribing the sum of £IOO beforementioned, authority bo given for the exipenditure of the amount in hand, and that a further £2OO be placed on next year's estimates for the completion of the work. The report was adopted.
