The monthlv Ceilidh of the Chnstchurca Scottish Society v,-as held on Thursday, Chief J. S. Chiahoim presiding. Piper A. Wileon ope-aed the evening with a selection on tho bagnipes, after which the Society Ode was sung. Tho programme, arranged 0)' Councillors Y. W. Dick and J. Wileon, consisted of:-Pipe selection by Piper* S. Chiahoim and A. Wilson; songs bv Mrs McNivon Miss Freeman Brown, Messrs C. L. Eishw'orth, D. Bruce, J. McPherson, C. Stewart, D. Crouch, and T. O'Brien; monologues by Miss Penhuiluriack and Mr JLockhart; <ri!lie callum. Miss L. Claw; Irish jig, Miss 3ov McLacblan; seann triubhais. Miss G. Kerr: sailors' hornpipe Misses J. Potts and M. Walton; clog dance, Miss B. Pcddie; Highland fling and reels by Socictv's juveniles. The accompanist 3 were Miss'Gibbs and Mr E. Earl. An enjoyable evening closed with a short dance.
