Another offender a woman, was convicted And discharged, a "condition being that she take out a prohibition order. MAINTENANCE CASE. George Clifford Butterworth was charged that he wilfully failed to provide his wife and children with adequate maintenance. Senior-Sergeant Fitzpatriek stated that the warrant had been issued at Wellington. He asked that Butterworth bo remanded to apwas remanded to appear at Wellington on Tuesday. Bail was allowed, self in £IOO and one surety of .£IOO. Mr B J- Lougbnan, for defendant, asked that the' name, bo suppressed. The application was refused, tho Mag.f t ,i stating that he did not have the power to do so under the circumstance. ALLEGED THEFT.
