ROAD RACE.
! WILLOW.BRIDGE FIXTURE. The "Willowbridge cycle toad race, held on Thursday evening, was witnessed by.» very large crowd, and proved a close and exciting contest. The course waa approximately of thirteen miles, being three times round the course, from Williwbiidge up to the Main road, round Douglas'e corner, down Faulkner's road, arid up to Willowbridge road, and the good time of 39min lUec was recorded. The following were the results:— C. Curtis (sJmin), 1; winning Mr D. 6. Ashley's gold medal. B. Curtis (suiin), 2; winning Mr Mills s trophy ' G. Woods (3min), 3; winning Mr H. M. Christio'« trophy, „ . , J. Claude (Simin) and T. Mills (2mm) were both awarded prizes for first pa«t the post und«r 16. The latter was presented with Mr C. 8. Hood's trophy and the former, was given a trophy presented by Mr V<. Richmond. A. Hansen (sor), fastest time, won Mr L. C. MoLauohlan'a trophy. Time, 35miu 7seo. After the race, Mr h. C. MoLauehlan presented the prizes, and complimented the winners on tbeii performances.
