ANNUAL MEETING AT HAWARDEN Tho annual meeting of tho Hawardon A. and P. Association was hold in the Hawarden Hall. Presont: Messrs F. D. Dalzell (in the chair), H. T. Little, 31. O'Carroll, J, Croft, 0. H. Willis, D. Sidcy, A. Cowio, A. B. Wilkes, Hi Stokes, J. Warwick, J. W. Wright, W. R. Booker, S. L. Boon, C. E. Anderson, W. White, B. 6. Dalgety, and J. Hi Thomas. In reviewing the work o£ tho year, the president expressed his thanks to members for their valuable assistance in bringing the show to a successful conclusion, and for the liberal manner in which they had given- tho special prizes. Tho balance-sheet was then presonted and finally adopted. In accordance with the usual custom, the president then vacated tho chair and Mr 0. E. Anderson was elected president for the coming year. The now president, in his oponing remarks, reforerd to tho very capable manner in which tho late president had dirocted tho Association during a Somewhat difficult year, and asked the hearty co-operation of all members for his team of office A hearty vote of thanks to the retiring president was then carried by acclamation. The election of officers was thon proceeded with, and resulted as follows:—President, Mr 0. E. Anderson; vice-president, Mr B. Q. Dalgety; hon. treasurer, Mr C. H. Willis; secretary, Mr S. L. Bobn; auditor, Mr A. A. McKellar; General Committee, Messrs P. Ballantyne, J. K. Forrester, D. Sidey, T. W. Anderson, J. Earl, L. C. Wood, H. Sidey, J. Quigley, M. J. O'Carroll, W. R. Booker, A. B. Wilkes, E; G. Fahey, J. W. Wright, J. Heasley, and F. D. Dalzell. It was decided to hold the annual show on April 2nd, 1927. Tho meeting expressed its hearty appreciation of the untiring efforts of* Mrs. Little in connexion with tho last year's flower show. Tho following were appointed to . collect entries in their various districts:—Messrs J. Croft and J. K. Forrester (Hurunui), Messrs A. B. Wilkes and H. M. Stokes (Waitohi), Mr D. Sidoy (Woodgrove), Mr M. J. O'Carroll (Birchdale), Mr J. W. Wright (Horsley Downs), and Messrs J. Earl and Saunder'cock Bros. (Waikari).
