The l«t meetins of the Chr»tchurch Drainage Board during the present term of office was held last evening. Those present were: Messrs H J. Otlei (chairman), J. V. Beanland. D Ko«se, L. II s Hamilton. Correspondence. The General Manager of the Municipal Electricity Department vrutu stating that he had been instructed by the City Council s Klootrieity Committee to advise that it was prepared to waive the minimum charge of "s Od per k.w. per month, and to agree to a review of the rate within three years from the date of the first supply. The letter outlined tho rates and conditions of supply, as arrived at between the two bodies. Tho conditions were approved. - The Municipal Electricity Department also submitted proposed designs, for the substations to bo erected on the sections at the Board's pumping stations JSos. 8 and 10. The designs had been prepared to conform to tho general stylo of the pumping stations the Board had erected on these sites. The plans wcro approved. Tho General Manager of the tramways wrote complaining that its bus had had to be diverted at the Shirley terminus/from Chancellor street, owing to the bad condition of the road. Tho condition of Chancellor street was the result (he believed) of drainage operations. The letter was received.
